Maintenance Mechanic - Experienced

Job Description: Maintenance Mechanic – Experienced Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. Diagnose and fix AC/DC electrical systems, read schematics, and use electrical testing equipment (Volt-Ohm meter, amp meter, oscilloscope). Apply knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls and preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking. Perform multi‑craft maintenance and repair on all facility equipment, including operating lathes, mills, arc and Heliarc welders for repair and fabrication. Assist entry‑level mechanics with difficult repairs and respond to maintenance calls, even if repairs have already started. Inspect machines, develop repair lists, identify short‑term and long‑term repairs to keep machines running correctly. Work from task lists to diagnose machines and take corrective actions under pressure to keep equipment operational as quickly as possible. Ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability. Minimum Requirements At least 18 years of age. Willing to work weekends and holidays. Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods. Capacity to work under extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces. Qualifications Electrical certification, maintenance manufacturing experience, technical school training, or welding experience. Proven base knowledge of mechanical maintenance repair, especially electrical multi‑craft repair. At least two years of training experience in mechanical/electrical repair in a manufacturing environment (preferred). High‑voltage wiring (480V 3‑phase motors) proficiency and multi‑craft repair skills. Strong customer service orientation and ability to treat team members with respect. Flexibility, self‑starter, and safety‑focused attitude.
