Production Tool Planner

Production Tool Planner You will be the Production Tool Planner for a team responsible for devising, planning, ordering, and following up tools for assemblies, subassemblies, and component parts for any production or development project. Responsibilities Planning, ordering, and maintaining tooling masters for assigned assemblies using the Tool Requirements Form (TRF) system. Specifying and ordering all tool designs and changes as required by tooling policy and job instructions. Populating and maintaining MBOMs using PDM, ensuring control MBOM/EBOM accuracy. Preparing breakdowns of assigned assemblies into sub‑assemblies or components suitable for economical manufacture using CAPP and/or PDM. Advising affected organizations of MBOM changes to ensure proper material disbursement per the manufacturing plan and/or PDM. Basic Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience within the last 4 years as a manufacturing planner developing MBOM, process plans, and tooling requirements at a comparable airframe manufacturing company. Knowledge of aircraft tooling, tooling families, materials, processes, heat‑treat requirements, and finish specifications. Experience developing MBOM and process plans supporting the manufacture of machine parts, metal fittings, sheet‑metal fabrication, structural assemblies, welded/riveted assemblies, hydraulic/oxygen/environ‑control tubing, electrical fabrication, and trim/furnishings. Experience originating and maintaining master planning documents for procurement of detail parts and sub‑assemblies. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Must be a U.S. citizen (special access facility). Clearance level: None. Desired Skills Experience with C‑130 or F‑35 aircraft (use applicable). 3 years of aircraft shop experience in fabrication, assembly, and tooling, with demonstrated ability to use assembly blueprints. Completion of a high‑quality industrial tool‑planning training or vocational/technical program including blueprint reading, math (trigonometry), tool design theory, materials, and tool‑planning laboratory. Experience with SAP software (preferred). Schedule 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Benefits Flexible scheduling options and comprehensive benefits package.
