• Shift: 24-hour call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM), open dates starting 10/07 and ongoing
• Hours/Week: Variable, based on coverage needs
• Employment Type: Locum / Temporary assignment
• Licenses/Certifications: Appropriate Kentucky medical license and orthopedic surgeon certification required
• Experience: Prior orthopedic trauma and surgical experience required

What You'll Do:

• Provide orthopedic surgical care, focusing on hip nailing procedures, trauma, and fracture treatment
• Manage diverse patient populations: adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Perform procedures such as total joint replacements and revisions, spinal surgeries (with or without instrumentation), arthroscopy, and fracture/dislocation management
• Cover emergency call shifts and respond to orthopedic trauma cases
• Document patient care in EPIC EMR system
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure high-quality, timely patient treatment
• Participate in on-call and acute trauma coverage, including follow-up and post-operative care

What You Need:

• Valid state medical license in Kentucky
• Board-certified or eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Demonstrated experience in trauma and complex orthopedic procedures
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hospital setting
• Comfort with emergency call duties and trauma cases
