Embark on a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students' growth and success as a school psychologist in the Saco, ME area. This flexible, part-time position allows you to make a significant impact just two days per week, ideal for professionals seeking a meaningful role with a balanced schedule.
Your expertise will serve both elementary and preschool age groups: spend one day each week conducting psychoeducational evaluations for children in grades K-5 at a local elementary site. The other day, you’ll focus on evaluations for preschoolers (age 4) throughout the district, collaborating with early childhood teams and making a real difference during these formative years. This assignment starts as soon as you’re ready and continues through mid-June, 2027.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience in psychoeducational assessment and report writing
- Knowledge of multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and eligibility processes
- Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Compassionate communicator committed to educational equity
- Background working with PK and elementary populations preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret a variety of psychological and educational assessments
- Prepare thorough, timely evaluation reports for eligibility and programming decisions
- Consult with educators and parents to develop support strategies
- Participate in IEP and team meetings, contributing professional insights
- Travel between assigned sites as needed for evaluations
