Work Environment

The position is based at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Typical hours for this full-time position are Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' needs and establish individualized treatment goals and plans.
• Utilize a variety of manual therapy techniques and evidence-based protocols to promote recovery and reduce pain.
• Design and implement exercise programs aimed at improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, documenting all findings and modifications clearly.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers to support patient care and share insights on treatment plans.
• Encourage patients to embrace lifestyle modifications that enhance their recovery and overall health.
• Participate in patient education initiatives, aiming to empower clients in understanding their conditions and treatment options.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in orthopedic physical therapy to continuously improve care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgery, injuries, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our clientele ranges from athletes looking to enhance their performance and recover quickly to older adults seeking to maintain mobility and independence in their daily activities. Each patient's unique situation will guide your approach, requiring you to adapt and tailor treatments for diverse needs.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the field of orthopedic physical therapy.
• Proven ability to develop and execute effective treatment plans focused on enhancing patient mobility and strength.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong patient-therapist relationships.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation center or outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Strong knowledge of manual therapy techniques and exercise programming.
• A history of contributing to multidisciplinary teams in a healthcare setting.
• No record of disciplinary actions or board complaints against the physical therapy license.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package that ranges from USD 110,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with bonuses based on performance.
