Work Environment

You will work onsite at our outpatient office in Woodbridge, where collaboration and communication with other healthcare professionals are paramount. Key Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze patients' physical status through a variety of diagnostic tests to formulate personalized treatment plans that address their specific orthopedic needs.
• Administer and monitor physical therapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as traction and massage, ensuring effective pain relief and functional improvement.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in their implementation of care plans, while adhering to state regulations and promoting best practices in patient care.
• Conduct home environment evaluations to provide recommendations that foster greater independence and facilitate rehabilitation for clients.
• Document patient progress with detailed clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with OASIS standards and other regulatory requirements.
• Engage with patients and their families to educate them on the therapeutic methods employed and the use of any physical therapy devices, enhancing their participatory role in recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members during case conferences to assess treatment efficacy and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Maintain open lines of communication with physicians and case managers to report any changes in patient conditions and adapt treatment plans accordingly.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will mainly focus on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, such as joint replacements and fractures, alongside those managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Each patient presents unique challenges, which requires tailored approaches to facilitate optimal recovery. Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Physical Therapy licensure in good standing in the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification, ensuring safety and readiness for emergency situations.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of one year of experience as a licensed physical therapist in acute care or home care settings is preferred. Experience in managing a caseload effectively using evidence-based practice will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
