Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify patients' goals, needs, and limitations, forming the foundation for individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize a range of treatment modalities and evidence-based techniques to restore function, relieve pain, and improve patient mobility, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Design and implement fitness and wellness programs tailored to enhance clients' physical capabilities and promote active lifestyles during and after their rehabilitation.
• Motivate, educate, and guide patients through therapeutic activities, ensuring adherence to prescribed regimens while providing emotional support throughout their recovery journey.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and effective communication with patients, families, and other health care professionals.
• Implement preventive strategies to promote health and function, encouraging lifestyle modifications that foster long-term wellness.
• Consult with other health care professionals regarding patient care and engage in ongoing education to continue professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients dealing with musculoskeletal injuries and orthopedic conditions. This may include post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and sports-related injuries. You will provide care for a diverse population, ranging from athletes to elderly patients, adapting your approach to suit each individual's unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active state license as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, demonstrating a solid background in treating various musculoskeletal disorders.
• Proficient in patient assessments, treatment planning, and direct care methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with patients, their families, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Adeptness in managing diverse patient personalities and adapting strategies to meet individual needs.

Preferred Experience

In addition to the required qualifications, candidates with prior experience in sports rehabilitation, manual therapy techniques, or those who have specialized certifications in areas such as orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS) will be highly regarded. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management is also preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
