Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist within our outpatient clinic, you will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to optimal patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and supervise individualized physical therapy treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs, focusing on pain relief, muscle restoration, and overall physical enhancement.
• Assess the client's current functional status through a thorough evaluation process, employing tests that measure muscle strength, joint mobility, and overall functional abilities.
• Provide comprehensive preventative measures and therapeutic interventions, including manual therapeutic exercises and the administration of modalities such as traction and massage.
• Oversee and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in implementing care plans, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of practice.
• Conduct evaluations of clients' home environments to recommend necessary modifications that promote rehabilitation and maximize independence.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Engage in regular interdisciplinary team meetings to collaborate on patient care strategies and contribute to ongoing enhancement of treatment protocols.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare personnel, providing education on therapy protocols and device usage.
• Participate actively in the development and modification of patient care plans based on the client's progress and feedback.
• Stay accessible to support Physical Therapy Assistants during client sessions, ensuring they receive guidance as needed.
• Complete administrative duties related to client care, including timely submission of documentation per company policy.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program or equivalent qualification.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey, maintaining good standing.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an outpatient or home care setting.
• Valid CPR certification and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Demonstrated strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and their families.
• A proactive attitude and the capacity to collaborate effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specific diagnoses such as orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, or postsurgical rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and case management.
• Ability to implement and promote best practices within the outpatient clinic.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
