Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Baylor Physical Therapy, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Directing physical therapy treatments that aim to prevent disabilities, relieve pain, and enhance muscle function through individualized plans of care.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure proper implementation of treatment protocols and achieving patient goals.
• Performing comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical abilities using diagnostic tests and assessments to inform therapy plans and strategies.
• Assessing clients' home environments to recommend modifications that facilitate rehabilitation and foster independence.
• Administering a range of physical therapy treatments, including manual therapies, therapeutic exercises, and the use of modalities to manage pain and enhance rehabilitation.
• Evaluating, fitting, and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, working closely with healthcare providers to recommend necessary modifications.
• Documenting patient progress and clinical outcomes diligently, preparing care plans, and reporting significant changes to interdisciplinary team members as needed.
• Providing education and support to clients and their families regarding therapy practices and device use to ensure effective home-based treatment.
• Actively participating in case conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment plans and collaborate on holistic patient care.
• Managing clinical records and documentation in accordance with agency regulations, ensuring timely submission of orders and reports.

Qualifications
