Job Description Posted Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 4:00 AM Job Title: Construction Lending Supervisor FLSA Status: Exempt Department: Credit Administration Hours of Operation: Monday–Friday, 40+ hours between (7:00 AM–5:00 PM) General Job Summary The Construction Lending Supervisor supports the Construction Loan Administration (CLA) Manager by overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient loan closings, and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures. This role facilitates communication among coordinators, lenders, borrowers, and internal teams to obtain required documentation and issue timely 'clear to close' approvals for SBA, residential, and commercial construction loans. The Supervisor leads and develops the CLA team through training, process improvement, and workload management while maintaining an individual portfolio of construction loans. This position ensures loan setups, closing documentation, and funding processes are accurate, balanced, and completed on schedule. Organizational Duties and Responsibilities Supports the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank. Complies willingly with all organizational policies and procedures. Supports all functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Loan Administration & Closing Oversight Review and approve loan setups, closing checklists, task sheets, draws, and construction loan documentation for accuracy and completeness Perform quality control reviews of new construction loan entries, ensuring proper coding, balanced sources and uses, and required exceptions Issue 'clear to close' approvals once all documentation and checklist requirements are satisfied Review CLAs, commitment letters, and settlement statements to verify accuracy and balanced closing draws Ensure post-closing documents are properly incorporated Coordinate with lenders, attorneys, borrowers, and vendors to ensure timely closings and draw fundings Supervise, coach, and develop staff, including performance evaluations and goal setting Provide training on systems, policies, and procedures Monitor team performance for accuracy and compliance Support recruitment, onboarding, and training Workflow & Process Management Assign loans and balance workloads Maintain and update checklists and procedures Monitor CLA mailbox and ensure timely completion of tasks Assist in maintaining approved general contractor list Act as key contact for stakeholders regarding loan processes Provide guidance on insurance, inspections, and documentation Collaborate across departments to ensure compliance Track and reconcile vendor invoices Upload loan documentation into systems Provide administrative support to leadership Other Functions Track and reconcile invoices from vendors on a monthly basis and submit for payment Review purpose codes at approval and loan set up to be sure construction codes are used properly Working Conditions Office setting Education Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma required. Experience Minimum 6 years construction lending/closing experience; 3 years SBA experience.
