Staff Accountant

Role Description The Practice Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in the Miami–Fort Lauderdale Area. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and monitoring cash flow. The Practice Accountant prepares monthly and annual financial statements, supports budgeting and forecasting, and ensures accuracy and compliance with relevant healthcare and financial regulations. The role involves collaborating with practice leadership to provide financial analysis, assisting with audits, and recommending process improvements for billing, collections, and expense management. The Practice Accountant also maintains organized financial records, coordinates with external vendors and advisors, and supports the development of financial policies and procedures. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in general accounting functions such as accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close. Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports. Proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and practice management or healthcare billing systems. Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and effective organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax concepts, and healthcare or medical practice financial processes. Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clinical and administrative staff. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus. Prior experience in a medical practice, clinic, or healthcare organization is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
