Job Description
Join a modern manufacturing team where you assemble, test, and package electronic products using detailed documentation and state-of-the-art equipment. You will work with small components, verify product quality, perform basic electrical tests, and use computers for data entry, all within a supportive environment that offers extensive training and opportunities for personal development.

• 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday ; 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Assemble, rework, and reassemble electronic products according to schematics, assembly drawings, bills of material, and other applicable documentation.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of instruction documents, including schematics, assembly drawings, and bills of material, before and during assembly work.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications and standards.
• Use a computer to perform data entry, including inputting serial numbers and other production information into the mainframe or manufacturing systems.
• Package parts into kits for shipping, ensuring all required components and documentation are included.
• Label and package finished products, including manuals and accessories, according to established procedures.
• Inform a supervisor or lead of any work-related problems, production issues, or process concerns in a timely manner.
• Perform testing activities such as current checks, burn-in tests, and operation of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to verify product functionality.
• Verify assemblies and subassemblies against applicable documentation to ensure correct configuration and build.
• Verify part numbers, revision levels, and quantities received to ensure they match documentation and requirements.
• Conduct routine electrical tests on assemblies, separating failed assemblies from those that pass testing criteria.
• Record test data and results accurately for traceability and quality control purposes.
• Inform a supervisor or lead of any discrepancies discovered during assembly, inspection, or testing so that corrective actions can be taken.

Essential Skills

• No prior experience required; must be willing to learn and able to follow detailed instructions.
• Demonstrated interest in electronics and working with electronic components.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to perform data entry and navigate simple software applications.
• Good manual dexterity for handling small parts and performing precise assembly tasks.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with basic hand tools and assembly tools.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation such as schematics, assembly drawings, and bills of material.
• Ability to perform routine electrical tests after training, including using Automated Test Equipment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively report issues and discrepancies to supervisors or leads.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Interest in developing skills in electronics assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Comfort working in a structured manufacturing environment with defined processes and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively on a team and contribute to a positive, collaborative work culture.

Work Environment
This role is based on a brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing floor built in 2018. You will work on the 2nd shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The dress code is manufacturing casual, and you will be provided with a coat and safety glasses. The facility features a modern break room with multiple microwaves and refrigerators, as well as self-serve kiosks offering sandwiches, instant meals, snacks, and drinks. There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas, along with multiple TVs on the floor for employee use. The environment includes wellness nests for quiet breaks, a Chill Lounge away from the manufacturing floor, and nearby amenities such as a 3.5-mile hiking trail and a rooftop deck where you can enjoy lunch. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.80/hr.
