As a Security Officer - Patrol Duty in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with campus contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, provide directions and assistance, and report security-related concerns in accordance with site expectations.
• Support daily campus operations by assisting with incident reporting, following post orders, and communicating professionally with students, employees, visitors, and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
