This position is responsible for overseeing daily delivery operations, including dispatch coordination, route planning, and monitoring on-time performance. The Operations Manager will supervise and support operations staff and drivers, ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards, and resolve operational issues as they arise. The role includes managing schedules, reviewing performance metrics, optimizing processes for efficiency, and communicating with leadership and customers to maintain service quality. The Operations Manager will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture. Qualifications Operations and logistics management skills, including experience overseeing daily delivery or transportation activities. Team leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to coach staff, manage schedules, and support performance improvement. Organizational and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with drivers, staff, customers, and leadership. Comfort with basic technology and software tools used for dispatch, routing, scheduling, and reporting. Experience in logistics, transportation, or related fields is strongly preferred; prior management experience is beneficial. Understanding of safety practices and compliance requirements in a delivery or transportation environment. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant certifications in operations, logistics, or business are a plus.
