Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager

Our client located in Austin, Texas has an immediate need for a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager. This is an opportunity to support a multi year, large scale aviation infrastructure program encompassing terminal expansion, airfield improvements, and campus-wide upgrades.

Client Profile
Our client is a large, recognized organization specializing in aviation construction and infrastructure. This position will support a major, multi phased airport development program involving complex terminal, airside, landside, utility, technology, and operational infrastructure.

Building Information Modeling Manager Role
The BIM Manager will lead the digital design, coordination, delivery, and lifecycle data strategy for a complex aviation infrastructure program.

This individual will establish and enforce BIM standards across multiple disciplines and project partners while serving as a key liaison between project leadership, designers, engineers, contractors, airport stakeholders, and other project participants.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the BIM and digital delivery strategy across a large, multi phased aviation construction program
• Develop, implement, and enforce BIM Execution Plans, model standards, digital asset requirements, and data governance procedures
• Manage the Common Data Environment utilizing Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Establish model quality standards and audit procedures for design firms, engineers, contractors, and other project partners
• Lead multidisciplinary BIM coordination involving terminal architecture, structural systems, MEP, civil infrastructure, utilities, airfield systems, baggage handling, security, IT, telecom, and other specialized airport systems
• Oversee clash detection, coordination workflows, constructability reviews, and model issue resolution
• Establish asset data and COBie requirements supporting eventual transfer into airport asset management and maintenance systems
• Oversee LOD requirements through construction and final LOD 500 record models
• Support integration between BIM, GIS, project controls, scheduling, cost management, and facility management platforms
• Lead development and utilization of 4D construction sequencing and 5D cost modeling where applicable
• Support construction phasing strategies around active airport operations, passenger movement, security areas, and airfield activity
• Manage and mentor BIM Coordinators, Modelers, VDC personnel, and other digital delivery resources
• Identify opportunities to automate model validation and data management utilizing tools such as Dynamo, Python, or related technologies

Building Information Modeling Manager Background Profile:

Required

• Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, BIM, VDC, or related discipline
• 6+ years of BIM, VDC, design technology, or related AEC experience
• Previous experience leading BIM activities on large, complex construction or infrastructure programs
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, Civil 3D, and Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Strong experience with multidisciplinary model coordination and clash detection
• Experience establishing or managing BIM Execution Plans and BIM standards
• Understanding of LOD requirements, COBie, digital asset information, and project closeout requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with project executives, architects, engineers, contractors, field teams, and technology personnel
• Previous experience leading or mentoring BIM or VDC personnel
• Must be able to successfully complete required airport security and background screening
• Valid drivers license

Preferred

• Aviation, airport, transportation, transit, or similarly complex infrastructure experience
• GIS integration experience
• Dynamo, Python, Forge API, Power BI, or other automation and analytics experience
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 or similar information management standards
