Due Diligence Manager Department: Due Diligence Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: New York Reporting To: Grace Meek Compensation: $150,000 - $165,000 / year Description The Due Diligence Manager leads financial, operational, and commercial risk assessments of new and existing program partners. This role is accountable for driving the due diligence process, onboarding, and driving renewal process to ensure that opportunities and existing programs continually align with Accredited’s risk appetite and regulatory expectations. The Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to surface risks, recommend mitigations, and deliver actionable insights to leadership. The position requires strong analytical expertise, independent decision-making, project management skills and the ability to mentor junior team members Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end due diligence process for new MGAs, treaties, and program opportunities, including financial, operational, and contractual reviews. Identify key risks and opportunities; work with colleagues and counterparties to mitigate risks where possible. Ensure a quality service and high-level customer experience is provided to MGAs, reinsurers, and regulators. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timeliness and quality of deliverables. Prepare detailed reports and demonstrations for Senior Management, regulators, and reinsurers. Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, legal, compliance, and operations to ensure comprehensive due diligence assessments at SC2 phase and as needed. Monitor existing programs, track performance trends, and escalate concerns with recommended actions. Lead the preparation of diligence for program renewals, including historical and forecast analysis. Drive continuous improvement of due diligence procedures, tools, and documentation. Provide oversight to ensure contracts reflect negotiated terms and regulatory compliance Build and maintain strong relationships with MGAs, brokers, reinsurers, and regulators to support business growth. Contribute to timely, accurate, and insight-driven reports on the company's operating condition, supporting quarterly Board reporting and executive alignment alongside the Group CEO. Contribute to the execution of scalable growth strategies, embedding a culture of continuous improvement across operations, underwriting, and reinsurance functions. Contribute to the development of a high-performing management team, fostering accountability, clarity of roles, and cross-functional effectiveness. Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company. Periodic travel as required. Complete other duties as assigned. To maintain compliance with any applicable US, or International statutory or regulatory obligation as required by the role. This includes but is not limited to obligations arising from: The prudent management of the business. Placing due regard on the interests of customers. Observing rules on Sanctions and financial crime. Regulatory requirements and local licensing restrictions. Promoting and following the Group’s whistleblowing procedures Promote and provide guidance to reports in relation to the Group’s Whistleblowing policies and procedures. Where applicable, following the Company’s Consumer Duty principles to deliver good outcomes for retail customers. Skills & Experience Experience leading and developing a small team including managing remote employees, with a collaborative and coaching-oriented leadership style. Strong understanding of insurance products, MGA structures, program business models, and regulatory environments. Deep knowledge of due diligence practices, financial analysis, and risk assessment methodologies. Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret P&L statements, balance sheets, reinsurance financials, and operational data to drive informed business decisions. Skilled in financial modeling, executive reporting, and translating complex findings into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and stakeholders. Excellent project management and organizational abilities, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across executive, operational, technical, and regulatory audiences. Highly detail-oriented while maintaining a strategic, big-picture mindset. Professional business writing skills, including experience preparing executive summaries, board materials, and strategic communications. Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines with accuracy and accountability. Critical thinker and proactive problem-solver with a strong systems mindset and the ability to identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements. Collaborative yet self-directed, comfortable working across teams, time zones, and organizational levels. Strong commitment to confidentiality, compliance standards, and audit-ready practices. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Viva Engage, AI-enabled tools, and project management platforms. Experience & Education: 6–10 years of experience in due diligence, underwriting, risk management, program management, or related insurance industry roles. Demonstrated experience partnering with MGAs, insurance carriers, and key stakeholders within regulated environments. Proven success leading projects, driving operational improvements, and influencing business outcomes. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required. Advanced certifications such as CPA, CFA, CPCU, or ARe are highly valued. The applicable base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $165,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
