Senior Director - US Marketing Compliance

This position will play a central role in Hard Rock Digital’s marketing strategy and support scaling our marketing efforts across multiple jurisdictions. We’re after a qualified regulatory lawyer who will sit alongside our marketing teams, enhancing our existing marketing compliance function to ensure our marketing is compliant yet challenges the norms and enabling us to deliver epic marketing campaigns, promotions and marketing creatives. Key Responsibilities Build out the existing second line of defence marketing compliance function to meet the needs of marketing teams and ensure compliance with regulations, guidelines and best practices. Partner with the marketing teams on key marketing campaigns and promotions to ensure regulatory compliance. Partner with marketing teams to create effective first line of defence policies and procedures to ensure marketing compliance. Create and deliver marketing training to marketing teams. Advise marketing teams on key regulatory or legal updates impacting marketing teams. Ensure compliance with any regulatory filings or approval processes. Review and assess appropriateness and configuration of marketing platforms to ensure regulatory compliance. Support and develop the existing marketing compliance team personnel. What are we looking for? You must hold a JD (or foreign equivalent) and have at least 8 years marketing compliance experience, with experience of managing a team and developing younger talent. Must have US gaming experience in both online sports betting and iGaming markets. This role requires excellent knowledge of the legal landscape regarding marketing regulations, sweepstake laws, raffles laws, responsible gaming laws and other relevant legislation and caselaw. You must have the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders in marketing teams and communicate complicated legal concepts to non-lawyers. You must be somebody who thinks outside the box and is solution orientated. Experience of working with marketing platforms used for communications, bonus orchestration and segmentation, tracking and affiliate monitoring would be ideal. What’s in it for you?
