HELPER COOK (FULL TIME)

Position Overview Full‑time and part‑time Helper Cook positions at Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club – 231 Mid Ocean Drive, Bridgehampton, NY 11932. Schedule: Monday through Sunday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Fixed Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour. Internal Employee Referral Bonus available. Job Summary Learns to assist in the preparation and cooking of various food items prior to qualifying as a skilled cook. Maintains food safety and sanitation standards in the preparation and kitchen areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Read menu to estimate food requirements and order or procure ingredients from suppliers or storage. Prepare and cook food according to production records and standardized recipes. Adjust thermostat controls for ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles. Measure and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment. Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods under guidance; season food during mixing or cooking as instructed. Taste, smell, and pierce food to test doneness. Carve meat, portion food onto serving plates, and add gravies, sauces, and garnishes as directed. Wash, peel, cut, and shred fruits and vegetables. Butcher chicken, fish, and shellfish as directed. Bake bread, rolls, cakes, and pastries as instruction permits. Maintain work area and equipment; follow sanitation and safety principles for food handling. Interact with customers and coworkers courteously, efficiently, and friendly. Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash‑control procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
