Job Title: Cook Location: Williamsburg Schedule: Part-Time / On-Call Pay: $16.50 per hour Overview: Our client is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Cook to support meal preparation and service for large groups in accordance with USDA-approved menus. This is an on-call position ideal for someone with a strong background in food service and a passion for maintaining high standards in health, safety, and food quality. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and serve meals for large groups following USDA-approved menus Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils Maintain compliance with health department standards and sanitation procedures Adhere to food safety guidelines and internal operating procedures Support inventory and storage management for food and supplies Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations Qualifications: Minimum 2 years’ experience in food service operations, preferably in large-scale meal preparation Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques Strong understanding of health and sanitation practices Valid Food Handler’s Card and ServeSafe certification preferred Ability to work flexible, on-call hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays Successful completion of a background investigation, including criminal history, CPS, sex offender registry, and drug screening This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking in a mission-driven, team-oriented environment while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
