We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with a strong work ethic and positive attitude to join our team. This position will work a minimum of 30 hours per week but would consider those looking for 40 hours per week. This position does provide administrative responsibilities when needed. If You Are Looking To Process payroll accurately and on time, including generating paystubs, paychecks, and direct deposits. Maintain and update client and employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and wage laws Calculate and process payroll deductions such as benefits, garnishments, and retirement contributions. File and remit federal and state payroll taxes, including monthly and quarterly filings. Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax forms (940, 941, W-2, W-3) and state-specific reports. Reconcile payroll accounts and verify payroll data for accuracy. Respond to employee and client inquiries regarding payroll, tax withholdings, and deductions. Assist with audits and provide documentation or reports as needed for verification or compliance purposes. Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and employee information. Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure data consistency and resolve discrepancies. Stay current with changes in payroll laws, tax regulations, and best practices. Utilize payroll software (ACS or other systems) and accounting tools to streamline processes and reporting. Assist in administrative responsibilities as needed. If You Have Minimum associate degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent education/experience. Bachelor degree preferred. Minimum two years of payroll experience in a multi-client or fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. Familiarity with wage and hour laws, including overtime, FLSA, and benefit deductions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and payroll/accounting software. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills; able to prioritize and meet deadlines. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with ACS (Thomson Reuters) software preferred; experience with other payroll systems (ADP, QuickBooks, Paychex, etc.) a plus.
