Loan Officer

Overview Home Front Mortgage is growing and looking for a driven, client‑focused Loan Officer to join our Houston team. This is an opportunity for a motivated self‑starter who thrives in a performance‑based environment and wants the flexibility to directly control their earning potential. If you’re passionate about helping clients secure the right mortgage solutions while building a strong pipeline of business, this role is built for you. As a Loan Officer, you will be responsible for originating residential mortgage loans from initial inquiry through closing. You’ll work closely with borrowers, real estate agents, and internal processing teams to ensure a smooth and efficient lending experience. This role is best suited for someone who is proactive in generating leads, confident in client communication, and disciplined in managing a sales pipeline. Compensation Base Salary: $30,000 to $50,000, OTE $100,000‑$200,000 based on production Responsibilities Originate residential mortgage loans and guide clients through the full loan process Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and referral partners Respond promptly to inbound leads and actively generate new business opportunities Pre‑qualify borrowers and assess financial readiness for mortgage products Collect and analyze financial documentation to determine loan eligibility Ensure all loan files are complete, accurate, and compliant with lending guidelines Collaborate with processors and underwriting teams to ensure smooth closings Maintain consistent pipeline management and accurate CRM updates Deliver a high level of client communication and service throughout the transaction Qualifications Active NMLS License (required) 1–3+ years of experience in mortgage origination or a loan officer role preferred Strong understanding of residential mortgage products and guidelines Proven ability to generate and close loans in a competitive environment Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills Highly self‑motivated with strong time management and organization skills About Company Home Front Mortgage is a Houston‑based mortgage company committed to helping individuals and families achieve homeownership with clarity and confidence.
