Contract Administrator IThe Contract Administrator I is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts in compliance with federal regulations and company policies. Under general supervision, this role ensures contractual obligations are met, risks are mitigated, and business objectives are achieved. The Contract Administrator must possess strong coordinating and organization skills and the ability to prioritize ever changing customer requirements.ResponsibilitiesContract ManagementAdminister contracts from proposal through closeout, including modifications, renewals, and terminationsReview, customer contract terms and conditions, FAR, DFARs, ITAR and export control requirements for compliance; escalating terms requiring corporate and legal review as neededMonitor contract performance, deliverables, and milestones to ensure timely executionPre-Award SupportSupport proposal development, including review of solicitation requirements (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs)Assist in pricing strategy and contract risk assessmentIdentify terms that may pose financial, legal, or operational risksMaintain accurate proposal records, documentation, and correspondencePost-Award AdministrationAct as primary point of contact for contractual matters with customers and internal stakeholdersMaintain accurate contract records, documentation, and correspondenceManage contract changes, modifications, and claimsManage product returns, repairs and warranty claimsEnsure proper documentation for audits and compliance reviewsCompliance & Risk ManagementEnsure adherence to all applicable terms and regulations (Statement of Work, PO specific requirements, customer Ts and Cs, FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, etc.)Evaluate risks and propose mitigation strategiesSupport internal and external auditsEnsure proper flow-down of contract requirements to subcontractors through provision of Contract BriefFinancial & Business SupportTrack contract funding, billing, and invoicing requirementsMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent and relevant work experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational and prioritization skillsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteEffective management of multiple fluctuating priorities and varying deadlinesTeam player who can also work independentlyThrives in high pressure environmentPreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree (Business preferred) ORAssociate's Degree and 2 years of experience in sales or customer servicePrevious Contract Administration/Customer Service ExperienceKnowledge of FAR, DFAR, CUI and ITARThe ideal candidate will function with a sense of urgency, managing tasks effectively, despite sudden deadlines and changing prioritiesKey CompetenciesAnalytical thinking and problem-solvingTime management and deadline adherenceWork EnvironmentIn officeMay require handling sensitive or classified informationOccasional travel may be required for customer or program meetings
