Orthopedic Registered Nurse

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an Orthopedic Registered Nurse to perform a variety of tasks related to immobilization, bracing, surgical support, wound care, and patient instruction. The role requires the application and removal of casts, fitting braces, surgical assistance, and patient consultations.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Apply and remove plaster/fiberglass casts; construct specialized splints.
• Fit patients for pre-fabricated and custom braces, boots, and cervical collars.
• Assist in fracture reductions; remove sutures, staples, and k-wires; prepare sterile fields for injections.
• Clean and dress post-operative wounds or open fractures.
• Demonstrate the use of assistive devices and provide cast/brace maintenance education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements

Certifications

Orthopaedic Technologist Certified via NBCOT or NAOT.

Qualifications

• Would consider a new grad.
• Preferred experience in orthopedic technology.

Schedule / Shift

M-F 8-5. Will be working out of multiple locations throughout OC - both north and south.
