Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, ensuring thorough documentation from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health using recognized frameworks to identify areas needing support.
\n
• Develop evidence-based treatment and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups to track progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open dialogue and foster therapeutic relationships, helping clients express their thoughts and feelings.
\n
• Monitor clients’ progression towards their goals, regularly adjusting treatment strategies based on patient feedback and clinical observations.
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of mental health specialists, medical professionals, and social workers to design integrated care plans.

• Communicate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers regarding clients admitted to the hospital, ensuring continuity of care.

• Educate and support family members or primary caregivers to assist them in helping clients overcome mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors work with a diverse population that includes individuals of all ages, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. You will have the opportunity to engage with clients who may be dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and more. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficient understanding of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to clients and colleagues.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that reflect a sympathetic and compassionate nature, fostering trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, demonstrating clinical insight and judgment.

• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• An understanding of the interplay between physical health conditions and mental health, including addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of the pharmacological treatments commonly prescribed for mental health issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, with a competitive sign-on bonus offered upon hiring.
