This is a fully remote, short-term contract role for a Senior Database & Reporting Developer (Fabric & Power BI) . The position focuses on designing and optimizing complex database systems, building ETL workflows using Microsoft Fabric , and creating insightful Power BI reports. The role also involves leading cloud migration projects and ensuring high performance, security, and scalability across large-scale data environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable database solutions using Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server.
• Build and optimize ETL pipelines, stored procedures, triggers, and views using Microsoft Fabric Pipelines, Data Flows, and Notebooks .
• Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Lead cloud database migration projects with minimal downtime.
• Integrate multiple data sources into unified data models.
• Analyze and improve database performance and query execution.
• Automate database deployment processes using Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Maintain documentation for database designs and migration processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and stay current with emerging technologies.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in database development (SQL Server, ETL design/build, database architecture).
• Minimum 2 yearsof hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Pipelines, Data Flows, Notebooks).
• Proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL programming, and stored procedures.
• Experience with Power BI report development.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and database migration processes.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality solutions quickly.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, or cloud technologies are a plus.
