We pride ourselves in providing exceptional care to 90 residents in our Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Nursing Care units.Our mission is to continue a tradition of excellence by providing compassionate and dignified care for seniors in our community.A Gilbert Residence Resident Assistant provides exceptional resident care under the supervision of a Med-Tech. They will assist with activities of daily living, participate or lead activities with residents, and perform general housekeeping duties in the assisted living or memory care unit. Our care goal is to aid our residents to maintain an optimum level of independence, particularly with activities of daily living and social interactions.The Gilbert Residence is a proud equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.DUTIESAssist residents with Bathing (tub or shower)Assist residents with mealAssist residents with Toileting (urinal, bedside commode, bathroom)Assist residents with grooming (hair care, nail care, foot care)Assist residents with oral hygiene and denture careMeasure intake and outputCollect urine and stool specimensAssist residents to transfer from bed, chair, wheelchair.Assist residents with use of walkers, wheelchairs, canes, bracesPerform range of motion exercises (active and passive)Assist with ambulationAssist residents in making beds and daily room tidying.Weighing residents & taking vital signsProviding post mortem carePracticing standard precautions and special isolation techniquesAssist residents to establish a basic structure to their dayObserves residents for any changes in function or behaviorAssist in organizing and maintaining cleanliness of residents personal clothingFunction as an essential assistant to professional staff membersAttend staff meetings, in-service programs, conferences on the unitPerform any other duties that may be requiredQUALIFICATIONSExcellent customer service skillsAbility to understand/take directionsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to lift 50lbsPositive attitudeMust be reliableMust have weekend availabilityPlease do not call or email The Gilbert Residence.
