Part Time Instructor Pool - Ethnic Studies Department: Social/Behavioral Sciences FTE: Work hours: Varies based on assignment Starting Salary Range: Class II, step 1 of Adjunct, Overload and Substitute Salary Schedule Anticipated Start Date: Spring 2026 Job Summary Under administrative leadership, part‑time faculty are responsible for supporting the advancement of the colleges’ visions, missions, and values. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, student evaluation, curriculum development, student advising, professional development, and any assignment‑specific duties. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in ethnic studies. OR a master’s in American Studies, Ethnicity, Latino Studies, LaRaza Studies, Central American Studies, Latin American Studies, Cross Cultural Studies, Race and Ethnic Relations, Asian‑American Studies, or African‑American Studies. OR the equivalent. OR see Interdisciplinary Studies. Working Conditions Faculty positions may require long periods of standing and walking in a typical classroom setting. Specific conditions vary by discipline taught.
