AMT | Accredited Medical Assistant - Immediate Care

Job Summary: Provide compassionate clinical support and assist in patient care management within a dynamic immediate care setting. Responsibilities adapt to meet the evolving needs of the practice, ensuring quality healthcare delivery. Essential Responsibilities: Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk individuals. Follow established standards and guidelines to ensure patient safety and comfort. Manage efficient healthcare service flow during patient visits, including accurate and timely completion of medical records. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and relevant health history, and communicate abnormal findings to the physician. Support physicians with testing, treatments, minor procedures, and medication management. Facilitate patient education, consent acquisition, and follow-up on test results and referrals. Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments to uphold a safe and organized environment. Perform laboratory tests and maintain logs as prescribed, assisting with patient instruction to promote understanding of treatments and medications. Education and Experience Required: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program. Work Shift: Varied shifts totaling approximately 24 hours weekly, including one weekend per month. This role is based in a regional healthcare facility serving the Midwest area of the United States.
