Advanced Medical Assistant (Occupational Health) MA

Job Summary: Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate clinical support and patient care management in a dynamic occupational health setting. Your daily tasks will adapt to the evolving needs of the practice, ensuring quality care and patient satisfaction. Essential Responsibilities: Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk individuals. Provide reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients. Coordinate efficient healthcare delivery throughout patient visits, ensuring medical records are accurate and up-to-date. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and relevant health history, and communicate any abnormal findings to the physician. Support physicians during testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams. Assist with splinting, dressings, medication samples, and maintain related logs. Facilitate patient referrals, testing, and follow-up communications. Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment. Perform laboratory tests and treatments as prescribed, assisting with documentation and billing processes. Undertake additional duties as assigned to support the healthcare team. Education and Experience: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing program is required. Work Shift: First shift in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
