An exciting contract opportunity awaits for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) looking to make a difference in a school setting near sunny San Diego, CA. This is a full-time, 33.75-hour per week assignment in a welcoming day school environment, providing specialized speech and language support to students. Work closely with a diverse population and collaborate with a dedicated educational team to empower each student’s communication abilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required.
- Previous experience in school settings or pediatric caseloads highly desirable.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) considered.
- Strong knowledge of ASL and background working with deaf or hard of hearing students is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEPs.
- Deliver therapy sessions tailored to meet each student’s unique goals.
- Consult with teachers, families, and other support staff to facilitate student success.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district policies.
- Provide support and resources for students who are deaf or hard of hearing when needed.
