Come join National Security Space and the Skynet EC team as a Specialty Engineer in Survivability Engineering as we deliver the next generation of communications satellites to the our UK partners. As a Survivability Engineer, Asc in Specialty Systems Engineering working in National Security Space - Global Communications and Navigation (NSS-GC&N), you’ll work on a team in a range of projects that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. Contingent on Contract Award expected in September 2026. Responsibilities Applying electrical, electronics and physics theories to execute various tasks related to Survivability engineering field Ensuring that military space vehicle and missile designs, from the component level to the system level, will meet performance requirements during and after exposure to specified environments; these environments include natural space radiation Conducting technical planning, specification requirements derivation, modeling and analysis, design, test planning and execution, documentation, requirements verification/validation to support overall system needs and act as technical consultant for management and customers Will join the Talent Center Survivability Engineering group and will support authorities Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Electrical engineering simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, PSPICE, etc.) Test laboratory environments and associated test fields and test equipment (e.g., data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and/or signal generators) Willingness/ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship Required Desired Skills: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering degree program (Electrical, EET, Systems, Mechanical, etc.) from an accredited college/university Understanding of Natural Space Radiation environments and Engineering Understanding of electronic, electrical, electromechanical and electrooptical (EEEE) components Work and collaborate with peers and senior specialists from within and outside the engineering group Enthusiastic learner and willingness to be a mentor to others in the Survivability field Understanding of anomaly resolution process Organized and able to effectively multi-task in a dynamic, fast paced environment Active or Current Secret security clearance Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret. Compensation The annual base salary range for this position is $60,200 - $106,030, varying by state location. This salary information is a general guideline only.
