This position is eligible for a $1,000 Signing Bonus for qualified new hires.

To qualify, you must:
• Be hired between May 28, 2026, and June 30, 2026
• Complete 30 days of active employment
• Remain actively employed and in good standing
• Complete all required training requirements

The $1,000 Signing Bonus will be paid on your first paycheck following successful completion of 30 days of employment.

This signing bonus offer is available only for eligible positions located in Blue Water Developmental Housing's Macomb County service area, including New Baltimore, Memphis, Armada, Richmond, and Romeo.

Job Description:

We are seeking compassionate individuals for the role of Direct Care Worker. This role focuses on enhancing the physical and mental well-being of individuals with special needs.  Responsibilities include maintaining a positive and safe living environment, monitoring progress, and reporting on individual achievements.

Locations: Romeo

Shifts: Full-time and part-time positions available, ranging from 16 to 40 hours per week. Shifts vary and include afternoons, midnights, and weekends.

Rate of Pay: $16.08 to $21.54 per hour, including State of MI premium pay, based on relevant experience and education.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Acceptable criminal record check and drug screen
• Eighteen (18) years of age or older
• Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for insurance purposes.
