About the Opportunity

TRU WOMEN'S HEALTH, an affiliated OB/GYN practice with Hackensack Meridian Health Network, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join its growing, collaborative women's healthcare team.

This is an opportunity to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in a supportive clinical environment, working with a diverse patient population across both outpatient clinic and hospital or birthing center settings.

The role combines two or three 8 hour clinic shifts with two 12 hour hospital shifts. The affiliated hospital provides 24 hour, in house laborist coverage to support patient safety and collaboration during emergent situations.

The ideal candidate is passionate about evidence based, family centered care and enjoys working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high quality women's healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive midwifery care across the scope of obstetrics and gynecology.
• Support patients throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum care within the scope of practice.
• Provide gynecologic care, patient education, and preventive health services.
• Assess patient needs, monitor maternal and fetal well being, and identify situations requiring additional medical support.
• Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team.
• Educate patients and families about pregnancy, birth options, postpartum recovery, and ongoing health needs.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established clinical protocols.
• Promote evidence based, respectful, and family centered care.
• Follow applicable clinical standards, licensing requirements, and patient safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Certified Nurse Midwife program.
• Current certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
• At least 1 year of full scope midwifery experience.
• Current New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse and midwife licensure, or eligibility to obtain the required credentials.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to evidence based and family centered patient care.
• Ability to work the required combination of clinic and hospital shifts in person.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of labor and delivery experience.
• Experience in a private practice, hospital, or birthing center.
• Master's degree in nursing or a related midwifery qualification, as applicable to certification and licensure.
