Position Overview Reyes Fleet Management, 1 of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S., is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to perform the repairs and maintenance of our tractor and trailer equipment at our Martin Brower shop in Enfield, CT. Shift & Pay Full-Time Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm. Pay: $35.00-$40.00/hr based on experience and qualifications. Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system. Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable. Perform complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision. Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices. May require driving Reyes family of businesses vehicles, subject to DOT regulations and maintaining a current driver qualification file (annual MVR check, DOT Physical, and safety performance history). CDL holders will undergo DOT drug screening within 30 days of start. Some travel may be required. Other projects or duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma / GED with 3+ years of related experience. Must possess own tools. Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with DOT regulations. Valid CDL (License A) highly desired; mandatory in some locations. Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, and occasionally weights in excess of 100 pounds. Preferred Education and Experience Technical school certification.
