A day in the shop
You clock in at our Newark, CA manufacturing facility, review a set of shop drawings, and start laying out materials for a custom export crate. By mid-shift, you are cutting panels, assembling foam inserts, and double-checking measurements so the finished case meets spec and ships on time. You keep the woodshop tidy, safety-first, and your tools maintained so the next build moves even faster.
What you will build- Custom case and crate fabrication from drawings and cut lists
- Foam insert assembly and related material handling
- Quality checks during each stage to confirm conformance to the prints
- Tool upkeep and prompt reporting of any issues to your supervisor
- Collaboration with a production team in a dynamic, lightly structured environment
- Other shop duties as assigned
- Background in carpentry, cabinetry, framing, or woodworking
- Desire for stable, long-term work and a record of reliable attendance
- Strong work history, team mindset, and pride in craftsmanship
- Willingness to learn and grow into new processes and jigs
- 2 or more years of wood crafting experience preferred
- Hands-on assembly experience with wood-based products in a manufacturing or construction setting
- Ability to read and build from blueprints or shop drawings
- Comfort with power tools such as drills and saws
- Solid basic math and problem-solving skills
- Works independently with minimal supervision, stays productive under pressure, and can juggle multiple projects
- Regular schedule: 2nd shift, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
- Training requirement: temporary morning shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
20 to 25 dollars per hour, depending on experience.

- Occasional ladder climbing
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling
- Continuous visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information
- Frequently lift, push, or carry up to 75 pounds
- Frequent work near moving mechanical parts
- Consistent exposure to loud noise
- Use of specialized shop equipment and machinery
