Social Media Manager

Location: Hybrid – Travel 2–3 days per week to East Hanover, NJ Job Type: 6-Month Contract (Potential for Extension or Permanent Hire) About the Role Our client is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of social media programs supporting pharmaceutical commercial initiatives. This role will focus on video-first content, digital engagement, and multi-channel social campaigns while partnering with marketing, creative, medical, legal, regulatory, and agency teams to deliver compliant, high-quality content. This is an opportunity to support high-visibility pharmaceutical brands while driving audience engagement and digital innovation. Responsibilities Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with commercial and brand objectives. Plan, create, publish, and optimize content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social platforms. Lead video content operations, including coordination, publishing, and optimization of short‑form video campaigns. Manage multiple social media campaigns and content calendars simultaneously. Collaborate with brand marketing, commercial operations, creative, video production, medical, legal, regulatory, and external agency partners. Ensure all social media content complies with pharmaceutical promotional regulations and internal review processes. Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations to improve engagement and overall campaign effectiveness. Coordinate audience engagement initiatives that support educational programs and increase brand visibility. Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications across multiple workstreams. Stay current on emerging social media trends, platform updates, and digital marketing best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in social media marketing and digital marketing. 1+ year of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry. Experience managing social media campaigns across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Experience supporting video content creation and publishing workflows for social media platforms. Experience working for a pharmaceutical company or pharmaceutical marketing agency. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical promotional regulations and compliance requirements. Experience managing multiple social media campaigns and projects simultaneously. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
