Maintenance Technician

SUMMARYResponsible for repairing and rebuilding a variety of plant equipment which includes cleaning, lubricating and adjusting equipment as directed in accordance with the maintenance schedule.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Repair all equipment quickly to minimize down time.Lubricate or verify lubrication of motors and equipment in accordance with schedules or as directed.Check, change or clean filters on air conditioners and dust collectors.Perform industrial electrical troubleshooting, repair and installation.Perform repair and installation of pneumatic and hydraulic system and various pumps.Perform repair of electronics, schematics, single and three phase electrical motors.Perform metal and carpentry work when needed.As, directed, check out new equipment prior to operation to insure mechanical and electrical stability.Handle daily routine maintenance on foundry equipment.Maintain high standard of housekeeping and safety.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNo supervisory responsibilities.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to write simple correspondence.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
