Utility Kitchen CleanerA Utility Kitchen Cleaner is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness & organization of kitchen environment. This person must have good communication skills and have the ability to lift, pull and push a moderate amount of weight.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Responsible for the operation and cleanliness of the dishwashing machineResponsible for washing of all china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and other items used in the restaurant, kitchen and banquet departmentMaintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, & utensils in a clean & orderly conditionResponsible for breakdown of all boxes, emptying trash containers into the dumpster and cleaning all containers.Cleans walls in kitchen as appropriate, especially in dish room areasCleans floor mats, sweeps and mops entire kitchen floor dailyAssists in cleaning ovens and refrigeratorsEnsures that the floor is always kept dry and free of debrisAssists with unloading shipments, dating items, and putting items awayInventory stock to ensure adequate suppliesPerform machine work and stocking duties as necessaryFollow sustainability guidelines and practices related to the property and Ganir's expectationsPractice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow SDS and OSHA standardsPerform other related duties as assigned or requested by managementEnsure overall client satisfactionSuccess Factors/Job Competencies:Ability to interact tactfully and positively with all levels of staff, management, clients, and maintains effective working relationships with a variety of peoplePossess strong initiative and self-motivationAbility to effectively establish work priorities and to make independent decisionsAbility to work on multiple tasks simultaneouslyDetail oriented with excellent organizational skillsAbility to be flexible and open to new ideasAbility to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a high level of productivityAbility to follow directions, yet exercise independent and appropriate judgmentQualifications Required:Previous work in a team environment preferredBasic knowledge/awareness of safety hazards and safety practicesMust be able understand directions and instructions given in EnglishMust be able to legally work in the United States of AmericaPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Must be able to reach with hands or armsBalance/stoop/bend/twist/pushTalk and hearMust be able to stand for long periods of timeMay lift to 50lbs & push/pull up to 100lbs with proper equipmentMay be required to wear basic PPE per job function
