Continuous Improvement Manager

Scope of Leadership Role Regal Rexnord is seeking an RBS Manager for its Canal location. The plant is a \$100‑million business with 155 associates. This critical role drives growth‑focused operations strategy and provides hands‑on leadership to a cross‑functional team, supporting the achievement of SQDC (safety, quality, delivery, cost‑competitiveness). The leader will develop and implement long- and short‑term strategic plans, partner closely with site management teams, and apply the Regal Business System framework to drive revenue growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities Partner with EHS manager to maintain a safe, compliant work environment and lead continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on safety. Collaborate with leadership to understand current business objectives, develop a vision for future operational and growth needs, and implement strategies to achieve those outcomes. Provide subject‑matter expertise across the organization to assess processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvement opportunities. Lead and implement process improvements across the value stream, utilizing lean concepts such as 5S, flow, standard work, visual management, replenishment systems, and defect reduction techniques. Manage the Regal Business System review process for selecting, scoping, and prioritizing improvement initiatives (e.g., Policy Deployment, CI Roadmap, Kaizens, Projects and CI Talent). Coach, mentor, and train site and functional members on continuous improvement methods, fostering a culture of continuous improvement organization‑wide. Key Concepts Lean Conversion (5S, flow, standard work, tools/materials at point of use, visual management) Visual factory, single best piece flow, replenishment systems, transactional process improvement techniques, defect reduction, and daily management. Professional Experience / Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 7 years related work experience. Proven successful application of multiple CI tools, including 80/20, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, Flow, Standard Work, Visual Management, and Problem Solving. Ability to lead and teach a site with a bias for action and a “say‑do” mindset. Critical thinking skills to identify problem areas and propose solutions.
