Speech Therapist Outpatient - Pediatric Therapy - FT -1st Shift

Pediatric Speech Therapist PositionPediatric speech therapist position working with a dynamic multidisciplinary team, in outpatient and inpatient settings. With experience, opportunities may be available in specialty areas, including NICU. Seeking a team-player with excellent communication skills, strong evidence-based practice, caring attitude towards all patients and their families, and effective time management / organization skills.ResponsibilitiesEvaluations, re-evaluations and ongoing direct patient care with children from birth to 18 yearsManagement of a highly diverse caseload including treatment of language, articulation, cognitive, feeding and swallowing disordersCoordination of care with other providersQualificationsEducation required: Master's Degree from an Accredited Institution in the area of Speech Therapy/Communication Disorders required.License, certification and/or registration: ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology, or eligible to begin CFY with successful completion of nation exam required. Alabama license in Speech Pathology or applicant with licensure pending CFY completion required. Must receive BCLS certification within orientation period.Experience: Experience required with pediatric feeding, swallowing, and modified barium swallow studiesAdditional skills/abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability and willingness to work with all patients in a fast-paced environment.About UsHuntsville Hospital was recently named Best Regional Hospital and #2 in Alabama by U.S. News & World Report.
