Occupational Therapist Acute Care
Schedule: - Shift: 5x8 (days)
Requirements: - Required license: CA OT (must be in hand) - Required certifications: BLS - Minimum experience: 1 year required - Core clinical skills: - Acute care OT evaluations and treatment - ADL retraining and upper-extremity functional assessments - Use of adaptive equipment - Experience with post-op ortho, medical-surgical patients, and geriatric diagnoses
Roles & Responsibilities: - Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients in an acute care setting. - Provide rehabilitation for activities of daily living (ADLs) and upper extremity functioning. - Implement and adapt therapeutic interventions based on patient needs and progress. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and safety. - Educate patients and caregivers on strategies and equipment to facilitate recovery and independence.
Compliance / Notes: - COVID-19 vaccine: Not required - Must include requests for time off at the time of submission; standard approval window up to 7 days. - Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays. - Candidates must disclose any license/background issues upfront; no open license hits allowed. - Pre-start modules required (non-billable, ~16 hours average).
