Sales Executive

Olive Recruiting is seeking a driven Sales Executive with a strong background in transportation and logistics sales for our client. This role requires a proactive hunter mentality, strong closing ability, and the discipline to build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities. The Sales Executive will be responsible for generating new revenue, developing client relationships, and supporting long-term growth initiatives.

Location: Southeast Texas/ Louisiana Full-time, direct hire with client Schedule: Hybrid/Remote

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and customer acquisition
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within truckload, LTL, drayage, or specialized freight markets
• Conduct market research to uncover new prospects and customer needs
• Generate leads through cold calling, email outreach, networking, and industry events
• Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective clients
• Promote the company's services by addressing and anticipating client needs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth onboarding and service execution
• Negotiate rates, terms, and service agreements with clients
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and revenue forecasts
• Provide ongoing customer support and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of transportation/logistics sales experience, existing book of business preferred
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Strong understanding of freight markets (truckload, brokerage, etc.)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with a hunter mindset and ability to work independently
• Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
