Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department \n Discipline: RN \n Start Date: ASAP \n Duration: 12 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, nights \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n Title: RN - ED Location: Albemarle North Carolina 28001 Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift - 36 Shift Information: 7p - 7a Clinical Interviewing- Yes On Call, Call Back Requirements: None Weekend Rotation: EOW Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays Floating Requirements: Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, any Freestanding ED within Region, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH) Scheduling: \n \n Weekend rotation: every other \n No call \n Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays \n RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours \n About Facility: \n \n Albemarle, NC (about an hour from Charlotte, NC) \n 109 Licensed Beds \n No Trauma Designation \n Not a Teaching Hospital – no residents/students \n Advanced Primary Stroke Center \n Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit \n Unit Information: \n \n Beds: 16 \n Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years ED RN experience (Resource Team requirement) \n Will you accept a first-time traveler: Not preferred – will consider \n Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: \n \n Pediatric and Adult \n COPD, CHF, Chest Pain, MI, N-STEMI, Stroke, TIA, new onset cardiac arrhythmia, uncontrolled DM, minor trauma \n Patient Ratios: \n \n RN : 1:4-5, based on acuity \n CNA : 1:10 \n Required Licensure & Certifications: \n \n RN: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI. CPI can be obtained within 30 days of starting; TNCC (preferred) \n Skills required: \n \n General ED skillset - Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with critical care drips, vent management, chest tubes, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, conscious sedation, Client Assessments, etc. \n Support within the Department: \n \n CNA \n Charge nurse: may or may not have patient assignment \n IV/VAT Team: Ancillary dept, but not in house every day \n RT, 24/7 \n Hospitalist, 24/7 \n ED Physician Team \n Bedside and Central Tele Monitoring \n Technology/Equipment: \n \n EMR: Epic \n IV Pump: Alaris \n Med dispensing: Omnicell \n Monitors: Phillips \n Unit specific equipment: General med-surg equipment and tele monitors \n Floating: \n \n Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable \n Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, any Freestanding ED within Region, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH) \n If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) \n ● Orientation (facility and unit): \n \n NEO \n 2 days departmental \n Other notes: \n \n Scrub Color: Navy \n Parking: Free \n \n \n ERRN1\n \n TalentBurst, Inc Job ID 26-26265.
