PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aviation organization to bring on a Field Service Representative who will play a vital role in supporting aircraft systems and ensuring reliability where it matters most—on the ground and in the field.

About the Role

As a Field Service Representative, you’ll provide critical technical support directly at customer sites and operational locations. Your expertise will help maintain product safety, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure aircraft systems remain mission-ready. Your work will make a direct impact on operational performance, customer satisfaction, and aviation safety.

Location: Berkeley, MO

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6+ months)

Pay Rate: Starting at $39 to $49 per hour

What You’ll Do

In this dynamic, field-based role, you’ll act as a trusted technical resource and problem solver:

• Provide on-site and remote technical support for company products at customer locations

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues affecting performance

• Monitor product status and identify trends impacting fleet reliability and safety

• Support urgent situations such as Airplane-on-Ground (AOG) or non-mission capable events

• Coordinate resources and collaborate with internal teams to resolve in-service issues quickly

• Assist in developing and executing customer support and action plans

• Deliver technical guidance, training, and support to customers and stakeholders

• Support parts logistics, inventory tracking, and procurement processes as needed

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• Experience with electronics, mechanical systems, or related components

• Background in parts procurement, inventory management, or logistics

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

• Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 20%

• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in the field

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Field Service Representative

• Experience in a technical or engineering environment

• Background in factory equipment or automation systems

• Hands-on experience with fabrication, soldering, or equipment repair

• Knowledge of inventory systems, shipping/receiving, or international export processes

• Ability to work safely in elevated environments and handle equipment up to 25 lbs

• Familiarity with safety standards (e.g., ESD compliance)

Education/Experience: Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Pay Details: $39.00 to $49.00 per hour
