How You Spend Your Day

• Set up, adjust, operate, inspect surveying equipment, including electronic total station, data collector to measure distances, elevations, angles, and other data for collection purposes.
• Process data from manual or electronic field books.
• Retrace or survey boundary lines under supervision.
• Perform calculations for construction stakeout for review.
• Research existing documents including record maps, plans, deeds, easements, and right-of-way documents.
• Maintain field data record.

Successful Candidates Will Possess

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand various types of documents and operate instruments to provide accurate information.
• Work environment is outdoors and potentially rough terrain, and requires ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., walk, sit and stand while operating survey equipment.
