Property Accountant

Why You'll Love This Role Join a growing company with a stable portfolio of commercial real estate assets Exposure to property accounting, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting Opportunity to learn directly from experienced real estate professionals Broad responsibilities and visibility within a smaller organization Prime Uptown Dallas location $100 monthly phone allowance Competitive benefits package 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, and vision coverage Company-paid life insurance and short-term and long-term disability coverage Key Responsibilities Assist with monthly and year-end accounting processes Support month-end close activities, reconciliations, and journal entries Review and process accounts payable invoices Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedules Prepare bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis Support budgeting and reporting activities Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules Review tenant billings and property-related accounting transactions Provide audit and tax support documentation as needed Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1–2 years of accounting experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable handling both accounting responsibilities and occasional administrative office tasks Preferred: Commercial real estate or property accounting experience Experience with Yardi or similar property management/accounting software Understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting Ideal Candidate We're looking for an ambitious, team-oriented accounting professional early in their career who is eager to learn and grow.
