Location: Staten Island, NY.
Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor.
Pay Rate: CMA, CNA, Phlebotomists, Paramedics $30/ hr; LPN $35/ hr.
Schedule: 6/15 & 6/16. DayShift.

Full Description:
A temporary employee wellness clinic serving a transportation workforce in Staten Island, NY is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support scheduled DOT physical exam clinic events within a professional workplace environment.

This role supports workplace screening operations by assisting with patient intake, specimen collection, vision screening, and provider workflow during mobile clinic events. Clinic dates are scheduled periodically based on workplace wellness and occupational health programming and are not part of a fixed schedule.

The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create a supportive and organized patient experience.

Qualified candidates may include LPNs, Phlebotomists, Medical Assistants, or Paramedics with phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and prepare the mobile clinic workspace within a professional workplace environment.
• Prepare patients for DOT physical examinations.
• Collect and process urine specimens for drug screening.
• Perform vision screening tests.
• Record patient information and update electronic health records.
• Support provider workflow during scheduled clinic operations.
• Provide patient education regarding next steps and follow-up instructions.
• Maintain professionalism and treat patients with respect.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Assist with documentation, data entry, and tracking as needed.

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted license/ certification.
• Current CPR (BLS or ACLS) certification required.
• Phlebotomy experience required (certification preferred).
• Familiarity with urine specimen collection and vision testing preferred.
• Experience with medical scheduling or EMR systems.
• Customer service-oriented and has great bedside manner.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working independently or with little to no supervision
• Must bring a personal laptop or tablet to each shift to complete electronic charting and documentation.
• Able to reliably commute to Staten Island, NY.
