Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Neuro

Night shift; 36- or 48-hour option

Ratio: 1:6 Unit size: 32 beds

Minimum 1 year recent RN experience required Licensure: Pending NM/Compact accepted but must be obtained prior to start Certifications: BLS; NIHSS required (pending OK) Relevant clinical skills: IV starts/maintenance, peripheral/PICC/central line care, phlebotomy, blood product administration, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), non-invasive airway support, feeding tube care, PCA management, heparin/insulin administration, wound care/Wound VAC, ostomy care, chest tube management, pre/post hemodialysis care EMR: Epic

Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical neuro setting. Monitor and assess patient conditions and perform necessary interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Educate patients and families on health management and care plans. Document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record.

Orientation: 24 hours Pre-approved time off: 1 shift allowed Floating: Required to float to like units as needed
