Registered Nurse – Med-Surg / Telemetry

Schedule - Shift: 12-hour shifts - Weekend requirement: Approximately 2 weekends per 4-week schedule - Holiday requirement: Must work 2 out of the 3 holiday bundles — Thanksgiving & the day after; Christmas Eve & Christmas Day; New Year's Eve & New Year's Day

Assignment Details - Contract length: 36 or 48 hours (facility may offer 40 hours in some cases)

Requirements - Minimum of 1 year RN experience (1-2 years preferred) - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), NIHSS - License: New Mexico license may be pending at the time of submission - Clinical skills: Telemetry monitoring & dysrhythmia recognition/management, IV starts/maintenance, PCU/stepdown care

Roles & Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care, assess, and monitor patients' conditions - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians - Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans - Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and medication management - Utilize telemetry monitoring equipment to oversee cardiac patients and respond to alerts

Compliance / Notes - Flu vaccine is required (medical/religious exemptions allowed) - Must live outside a 100-mile radius - Orientation and compliance documentation are required to begin within 1-2 weeks of signing; required documents due 10 days prior to start - Drug screen to be completed within 30 days of start - Scrub color: Black
