Payroll AssociateLocation: Hauppauge, NYCompany/Industry: Global technical services companySchedule: Mon-Fri In-Office OnlySalary: $50,000 - $75,000/yr + benefits, depending on experience, flexibility for the right candidateType: Direct HireKey ResponsibilitiesReconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate payroll reportsCollect employee timesheets and enter data into the payroll systemPrepare payroll and coordinate with an external payroll processing servicePrepare and submit client invoices; ensure timely payment of billsAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivablePrepare journal entries and support month-end reconciliationReconcile payroll taxes, 401(k), and bank accountsResearch and resolve payroll or accounting discrepanciesGenerate financial reports by collecting and analyzing account dataWork closely with the accounting team to ensure compliance and accurate financial processingQualificationsHigh school diploma required; bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred3–5 years of experience using ADP, ideally ADP Workforce NowExperience processing weekly, multi-state payrollExperience working with multiple legal entitiesProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookBasic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principlesStrong accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage financial recordsExperience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plusCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $50,000.00 - $75,000.00All compensation and pay rates are dependent upon skills and experience.
